LaunchPoint Global Tour: Initial Proposal

30 facilities have expressed interest in the Global Tour.

100% transparency on cost. Software fees come directly from SGT or Trackman and are published in full. I take nothing.

Prize pool is player funded, so the more players, the bigger the pot.

This is a first draft and open to feedback. Bring changes to the August 15 meeting or send them ahead of time.

Schedule

Three seasons, seven weeks each: six regular season weeks plus a championship week. All weeks run Monday through Sunday.

Two Separate Tours

SGT and Trackman run as two completely separate tours. Trackman competes against Trackman. SGT competes against SGT. No combined leaderboard, no combined pot, no cross-platform scoring. The two are tracked, funded, and paid out independently.

Format

Trackman does not currently support full connection between clubs. Each club runs its own league with settings aligned to the Trackman tournament components so results are directly comparable. Talks with Trackman are ongoing and this will be updated as they progress.

Pricing

Buy-in is $60 per player for every tour. Teams are two-man, so a team pays $120 per tour. Same entry fee on both platforms.

Bundling all three tours in one payment at Fall registration comes to $180 per player.

Trackman SGT
Buy-in, any tour $60.00 $60.00
Software cost to player $0.00 $10.00
To that platform’s pot $60.00 $50.00

Trackman

Trackman bills per bay, at $250 per bay per year. Those costs are 100% club funded. The club covers its own bays. Because of that, 100% of the $60 player buy-in goes to the Trackman pot.

SGT

SGT bills a $1,000 annual subscription plus $5 per active player per month. LaunchPoint covers the $1,000 subscription outright. Players never pay toward it, at any field size. One subscription covers all three tours.

Players cover only the per-player portion, $10 per tour. The remaining $50 per player goes to the SGT pot. At 100 players that is a $5,000 pot. At 300 players it is $15,000.

Software cost is split by total enrolled player count across all SGT clubs, not evenly across clubs. A club with 6 players pays for 6. A club with 40 pays for 40. Bay count and club size never penalize anyone.

Bay Time

Each team is allotted 2 hours per week for their scored round, 14 hours over a seven-week tour. What a club charges its own players for that bay time is entirely up to the club. It is separate from the tour buy-in and is not collected or handled by me.
